This smart coil kit uses Audi R8 coils to eliminate the PTU and increase ignition output. Each kit includes genuine Bosch Audi R8 coils, plug and play harness adapters, and a PTU bypass harness. The coil adapters are made in-house here in AUS, and the updated version is sheathed in raychem DR25 for maximum flexibility. Suits Z32 300zx, including VG30DE Non Turbo, and VG30DETT Twin Turbo motors.
These coils can be used with a factory ECU, although adjusting the dwell time via Nistune or other aftermarket ECU will yield increased spark output. Please understand that, while this is avery common modification for the 300zx, these are not factory ignition coils and some modification to the upper plenum may be required on initial install.
